District Court jurisdictional limits were increased to $100,000, which makes it a more viable option for litigating civil cases. Learn the latest strategies for litigating cases in District Court including which cases are appropriate for District Court, which liability insurance companies are best for District Court, how to navigate District Court rules, how to conform discovery to court rules of limited jurisdiction, how to present cases efficiently in District Court, and what important differences exist compared to Superior Court and mandatory arbitration.
Sam Elder has litigated dozens of cases in District Court and will share the pluses and minuses of his experiences in this forum. Sam has also created a District Court working group to try to assemble best practices for litigation.
