Stop Asian Hate and Violence
The Washington State Association for Justice condemns all violence and hate crimes against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Six of the women murdered in Georgia were of Asian descent. Their stolen lives are part of an alarming rise in violent hate crimes committed against AAPI people across our country.
The collective voice of our community institutions and leaders must denounce all forms of racism and violence against people of color loudly and consistently. This includes community groups, community leaders, government institutions and law enforcement agencies. Furthermore, this requires all of us to act to prevent these crimes where we live, where we work, and where we breathe.
Our leadership and communities must swiftly condemn hate crimes and actively work to prevent them.
WSAJ stands ready to assist our community, our leaders and all people of the AAPI community to stop hate and violence.
