Scott P. Carness, co-editor of the Motor Vehicle Litigation Deskbook, is the Principal of the Carness Law Firm, PLLC, located in Edmonds, Washington. He represents plaintiffs in personal injury matters including wrongful death, premises liability, auto collisions, and professional negligence.
Scott serves on the Board of Governors of the Washington State Association for Justice, in the office of Vice President of Publications. In the past he has served as Editor in Chief of Trial News, Vice President of Membership, and chair of the Snohomish County Roundtable. He is also a member of the Washington State Bar Association, American Association for Justice, and the Snohomish County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Washington State courts, and the United States Court of Appeals.
When he is not working, Scott enjoys astrophotography, playing guitar, and chasing steelhead and salmon in the great rivers of the Pacific Northwest. He is the proud father of three children.
