Kris Costello is the owner of Costello Law Firm, a boutique litigation firm located in downtown Seattle. Kris is a trial attorney and is the Firm’s lead litigator. Her practice focus is complex civil litigation-commercial and serious personal injury, white collar defense and government enforcement actions. In her twenty four years as an attorney, Kris has tried over 150 cases in City, State and Federal Courts in Washington, including complicated tax, securities and commercial matters. She represents professionals, businesses owners and corporate executives in civil, criminal, professional licensing and regulatory actions.
Kris’s commitment to the courtroom and trial advocacy extends to her work as a trial consultant to attorneys and to firms seeking advice or first or second chair assistance. She has also taught students at the University of Washington School Of Law for the past ten years and teaches attorneys at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).
Kris graduated from Boston College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and earned her Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law in 1991. She was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1991 and began her career that same year as a King County Public Defender. In 1998 Kris founded Costello Law Firm and has since grown the firm to incorporate a Civil Litigation Practice, General Counsel Practice, Criminal Defense Practice and Family Law Practice. She is a member of The National Trial Lawyers and is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
