Hon. Sharon S. Armstrong (ret.) served on the King County Superior Court from 1985 to 2012. Judge Armstrong is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Washington School of Law. Judge Armstrong was a trial attorney with the Federal Trade Commission and a principal at Garvey, Schubert and Barer, where her practice emphasized complex civil litigation. She served on and co-chaired for many years the Washington Pattern Instructions Committee. As a neutral with JAMS, Judge Armstrong focuses on business/commercial, employment, environmental/natural resource, personal injury, professional liability, and trade regulation matters. She has been honored for her judicial work by the American Board of Trial Advocates, the King County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, and the Washington Law Review. She recently received the KCBA William L. Dwyer Outstanding Jurist award.
