Summary

At the time of settlement, a myriad of ethical considerations can come up for a plaintiff’s attorney. Learn more about how to deal with settlements for minors and incapacitated adults; coordination of settlements with public benefits such as Social Security benefits, Medicaid, and Medicare; settlement of wrongful death and survivorship claims and the interaction with probates; and the use of special needs trusts, settlement trusts and other planning devices.
