LISA BLUE BARON, Ph.D., received her undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia and her master’s degree from the University of Virginia. After her brief stint as a teacher was curbed by her dyslexia, Ms. Blue returned to the academic world. She attended North Texas State University, where she earned a PhD in counseling psychology, and then went on to receive her juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law.

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Blue joined the District Attorney’s office in Dallas, prosecuting more than 125 cases to verdict. She left the DA’s Organized Crime Division to join Baron & Budd in 1985 and specialize in environmental and toxic tort law. Ms. Blue’s accomplishments in trial courts across the country have earned her honors such as being named one of the “Top 50 Women Litigators in the U.S.” by the National Law Journal, “Trial Lawyer of the Year” by the Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, as well as receiving the Honorary Barrister Award from the University of Texas Law School in 2004 and the 2004 Distinguished Alumni Award from South Texas College of Law.

Ms. Blue also maintains a private practice as a forensic psychologist and is well known as an expert in jury selection. Because of her unique background, Ms. Blue has been asked to serve as a commentator covering high-profile trials for Court TV. She has also co-authored numerous recent articles on jury selection.
