Lori S. Haskell
Lori Haskell has a unique blend of talents and background. After graduating from the University of Washington she worked in television for nearly 10 years. Lori began as one of the first women news photographers and eventually moved into writing and producing. Ms. Haskell studied for her law degree at Seattle University while continuing to write and produce television news.

Ms. Haskell relocated to Alaska and clerked for the Chief Justice of the Alaska Supreme Court. Upon returning to Seattle, Lori entered private practice working exclusively to represent individuals against corporate interests, insurance rip offs and tirelessly advocating on behalf of the rights of injured people.

Her training in television made transitioning into the courtroom a natural move. Because of Ms. Haskell s TV background explaining stories through the use of visuals, she has perfected the art of delivering the essence of a case to a jury in a style that cuts through legalese and speaks to the heart of the matter. Ms. Haskell s natural empathy and willingness to familiarize herself with every aspect of her client s cases has brought her success in areas ranging from car accidents to civil rights discrimination and actions against insurance companies who wield their power by trying to take advantage of the little guy . When this mentality meets Lori Haskell there is no doubt such corporate arrogance is deeply flawed.

Most recently, Ms. Haskell won a $1.3 million verdict against Metro Transit on behalf of a passenger who fell on a bus. It is the largest verdict of its kind in this state. Prior to that case, Lori negotiated a $350,000 settlement against the North Shore School District in a gender discrimination case. Lori Haskell has obtained top dollar verdicts and settlements in traumatic brain injury cases. Having worked with injured people since the beginning of her legal career Ms. Haskell is knowledgeable regarding medicine, and the array of choices available in Puget Sound s medical community.

Lori Haskell has always been a significant contributor to her profession, teaching other lawyers the skills she puts to use on behalf of her own clients. She served on the Board of Governors for the Washington State Association for Justice for more than a decade, is a sought after speaker at legal seminars and recently concluded a three year term serving on the Board of Governors for the Washington State Bar Association. Lori Haskell has been named a Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics, co-authored a book for lawyers on litigating auto accident cases and has written legal articles to aid other attorneys in successfully bringing plaintiff cases. In 2007 Ms. Haskell was honored with a statewide award for her extraordinary work encouraging greater diversity within the legal community.
