
Sara Crumb, Chief Executive Officer
Crumb has served as the CEO of WSAJ since July 2021. Prior to her role as CEO, Sara served on then WSTLA’s Government Affairs Team from 2002-2005. Returning to WSAJ in late 2016, she served as the Members Services Director and quickly moved into the COO role. Crumb oversees WSAJ’s team to meet the growing demands of Washington’s top plaintiff attorneys within WSAJ’s diverse membership. Over 1300 WSAJ members – more than half of all WASJ members -- are now committed WSAJ EAGLES because they want to support one of the nation’s most respected plaintiff attorney government affairs programs. Crumb ensures the WSAJ EAGLE program lives up to its reputation and results.
She ensures WSAJ’s CLE program is not only curated to help attorneys strengthen practice areas, but to also secure the best results for their clients. Crumb has successfully expanded WSAJ’s partnerships and sponsorships that help underwrite innovative programs to strengthen attorney practice areas and future trial lawyers.
Crumb brings more than two decades of legal and public affairs experience to her leadership. Her public affairs experience is steeped in public policy from Olympia to DC’s Capitol Hill. Her unique public affairs background ensure our members have one of the strongest advocates for WSAJ’s prestigious EAGLE program, our top membership credited for protecting Washington’s civil justice system.
Prior to her time here at WSAJ, Crumb served in top leadership positions under Washington state’s most respected congressional delegations. For two years, she served U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell’s as her state director. She spent more than a decade in leadership roles for U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott and U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks. She also served two years as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Washington in Spokane.
Crumb is a graduate of Gonzaga University of School of Law in Spokane and holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Washington. She has been a member of the Washington State Bar Association since 2003. She currently serves as Secretary on the Board of the National Association of Trial Lawyers Executives (NATLE).
